    Man accused of breaking into Lafayette home gets caught by homeowner

    LAFAYETTE, La. ( KLFY ) – A Donaldsonville man is accused of a home invasion burglary at a house in River Ranch, but what happened next caught him off guard.

    Police say 32-year-old Langston Green was caught by the homeowner trying to break into the home on Friday. Police said when the homeowner caught him inside, they beat him with a baseball bat. When police arrived on the scene they found the suspect in the area.

    Green is now in jail on home burglary charges.
