LAFAYETTE PARISH, La. ( KLFY ) — The Youngsville police officer who was fired last month is now trying to get her job back by filing an appeal.

Hannah Gentry was arrested in June for alleged unauthorized entry into an inhabited dwelling.

According the letter of appeal, Gentry claims her termination was not in good faith, violated state law regarding the rights of law enforcement officers under investigation, and was disproportionate to the alleged infraction. She is seeking reinstatement to her job and total compensation for her absence.

You are absolutely correct about no is above the law!!! How she wants loyalty when she took an oath to protect and serve, not herself. You violated the law and expect to be excused for what you did, because of your jurisdiction, not. She is in her emotions!!! Louisiana, is the only state that can fire anyone without reasons. She doesn't get a second chance or have any privileges. Now she can apply at another precincts.
