DESOTO PARISH, La. ( KTAL/KMSS ) – Louisiana State Police arrested a DeSoto Parish Fire Chief Saturday after his vehicle crashed into a fire hydrant.

Around 12:15 p.m., Mark Magee was driving a 2022 Ford F-250 south on Louisiana Highway 5. Officials said Magee lost control of the vehicle near the intersection of Hwy 5 and Hwy 172. Magee ran off the left side of the road and crashed into a fire hydrant.
