Arrests made in connection with Trayonna Williams murder in Ville Platte

VILLE PLATTE, La. ( KLFY ) — Two people have been arrested in connection with the killing of Trayonna Williams in Ville Platte, authorities said.

Tavion Fontenot, 20, and an unnamed juvenile male are each charged with one count of second-degree murder and two counts of attempted second-degree murder.

Williams, who was pregnant according to a GoFundMe page set up by her family, was shot and killed Sept. 14.

Bond for both suspects is set at $3,750,000.

This investigation is ongoing and more arrests are possible, officials said. Ville Platte Police Chief Perry Thomas asks anyone with information about this crime to please call the Ville Platte Police Department at 337-363-1313.
