JEFF DAVIS PARISH, La. ( KLFY ) — Some electric customers in Jeff Davis Parish will be without electric power for a few hours next week.

The Jefferson Davis Electric Cooperative has announced two planned power outages for Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.

The first will be Tuesday, Oct. 22, when the Fulton substation will be shut down starting at 8 a.m. for approximately six hours due to power supplier maintenance. Areas affected will be W. Creole Hwy., Trosclair Road, Marshall Street and everything East of the ferry, officials said.

The second outage will take place Wednesday, Oct. 23. It will start at 9 a.m. and last for approximately four hours. The Hackett substation will be shut down due to the installation of the 230kV project.

This outage will affect those in Grangerville, Chesson’s, Hackett’s Road and south to Gibbstown bridge, the utility said.
