CROWLEY, La. ( KLFY ) — Crowley Police have reported two separate shootings minutes apart Friday night near the International Rice Festival .

These are in addition to the fatal shooting on Dejean Circle that killed Travis Trentel Thorne earlier in the day.

At 10:50 p.m., officers with the Crowley Police Department responded to a call of shots fired call in the 100 Block of North Ave F, where officers found one victim who had been shot three times.

Police said after running across an acquaintance he knew through a family member, the victim agreed to give him a ride to his residence. The victim said upon the acquaintance entering his vehicle, which also contained his girlfriend and cousin, an unknown number of subjects began to shoot at his vehicle. Once the shooting had stopped, the acquaintance and the unknown suspects fled the area while the victim, victim’s girlfriend and cousin waited for law enforcement to arrive.
