Fire crews battle blaze in Mason County

SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage ) — As sweltering heat continues to impact Texas and the Concho Valley, fire crews work to contain a fire burning in Mason County.

As of Friday morning, Aug. 23, a fire named North Art Complex has burned approximately 3,000 acres. The Texas A&M Forest Service reported that 0% of the fire is contained.

Nexstar’s KXAN reported that the wildfire is located seven miles east of Mason near the intersection of North Art Road and Highway 29.
