GRIMES COUNTY, Texas ( FOX 44 ) – A Grimes County pursuit led to a man’s arrest, a woman in the hospital and the discovery of drugs and a stolen vehicle.

A Grimes County Sheriff’s deputy attempted a traffic stop at County Road 202 at approximately 2:20 a.m. Wednesday. A motorcycle was seen speeding as it entered the Pinebrook Subdivision.

The motorcycle had one male driver and one female passenger and refused to stop. A high-speed pursuit through the subdivision was underway, reaching speeds of 100 mph. The motorcycle entered Highway 249 and traveled eastbound towards Montgomery County, traveling above 130 mph.

The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office says the motorcycle entered a subdivision at Zion Lane and Antonia Drive, losing control at this intersection. The man fled the scene on foot as deputies chased him, leaving the woman pinned underneath the motorcycle.

The man, identified as James Don George, was found hiding underneath a vehicle and was apprehended. He had a warrant out of Texas Pardon and Parole for felony narcotics offenses.

Deputies discovered a baggie containing suspected methamphetamine, which George threw out before he was apprehended.

The Sheriff’s Office says the motorcycle was reported stolen by the Conroe Police Department. The woman, who also had warrants for narcotic offenses, was transported to a hospital in The Woodlands for significant injuries to her legs.
