Highlights: Irion County no match for Rankin in blowout loss

Friday’s game between the Rankin Red Devils and Irion County Hornets marked the first meeting between the teams since 2005.

The Hornets got off to a great start, thanks to a first-quarter touchdown scored by running back Colton Lawdermilk. The Red Devils wasted no time however, equalizing the game at six apiece on the very next drive via a rushing touchdown by fullback Noah Trussell.

The Red Devils continued threatening in the red zone all night, later escaping Irion County with a 60-12 blowout win.
