Grass fire contained in McCleery Road incident

SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage ) —Several volunteer fire departments responded to a grass fire on McCleery Road at approximately 12:25 p.m. on Sept. 10.

The departments involved were Dove Creek, Grape Creek and Wall.

According to a social media post shared by Wall, Texas Volunteer Fire Department, suppression units attacked the fire, which was moving slowly through a pasture. Due to the growth of the fire, the Grape Creek Volunteer Fire Department was called in for mutual support.

The fire was successfully contained with the combined efforts of all responding teams after three hours of operation.
