    SAPD identifies students in rumors regarding Central High School

    SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage ) —The San Angelo Police Department is currently investigating potential threats aimed at Central High School on Sept. 11.

    According to a social media post shared by SAPD, the department is taking measures to ensure the safety of CHS students and staff, emphasizing that the safety of the community remains their “top priority.”

    The San Angelo Independent School District addressed the situation around 9:22 p.m. stating that the rumors spreading about CHS are “unsubstantiated and untrue.” Students responsible for the rumors have been identified by investigators.

    SAISD also noted, “San Angelo ISD will apply the district’s code of conduct to any students found in violation of our policies.”

    SAPD will continue to monitor the situation as well as provide updates as needed.
