    17th Annual Shannon Pink Ribbon Run

    SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage ) — Carolyn McEnrue spoke with Hope Barron from Shannon Medical Center about the 17th Annual Shannon Pink Ribbon Run. The run is set for Saturday, October 5th, and will take place at Shannon Women’s and Children’s Hospital at 201 E. Harris Avenue.

    Registration on the morning of the run begins at 7 AM. There is a 1-mile walk/run and chip-timed 5K and 10K races—the 1-mile starts at 8 AM while the 5K and 10K starts at 8:30 AM. The first 800 paying participants who register will receive a free Shannon Pink Ribbon Run T-shirt. Breast cancer survivors are welcome to participate at no cost and will receive a special “Survivors” T-shirt.

    All proceeds of the Pink Ribbon Run will benefit local patient-focused programs at the Shannon Breast Center.
