5 dogs to be euthanized at San Angelo Animal Shelter if not rehomed

SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage ) Update, Sept. 18, 9 a.m. — There are four at-risk dogs left on a euthanasia list with a deadline of Sept. 21, according to Concho Valley PAWS.

In a n update posted to social media by CVPAWS at 9:02 a.m. on Sept. 18, Ocean, Mary Moon, Sable and Royce have yet to be adopted, fostered, or transferred from the shelter. The dogs must be rehomed by 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, or they will be euthanized.

Those who wish to rehome the dogs can visit the CVPAWS facility, located at 3134 N. United States Highway 67, Wednesday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to CVPAWS’ hours of operation.

The list below has been updated to reflect which dogs are currently at risk of euthanasia.

Original, Sept, 17, 3:44 p.m. — The San Angelo Animal Shelter is reaching capacity with 175 out of 180 dogs currently on site as of Sept. 17.

According to a social media post shared by San Angelo Animal Services, five dogs are facing euthanasia if not adopted, fostered, or transferred from the shelter by 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21. Parties interested in adopting or fostering are encouraged to contact info@cvpaws.org.

The euthanasia list comes after the shelter has almost reached its maximum capacity of 180 dogs. The animal shelter currently has 175 out of 180 dogs on site.
