Upcoming: Second Annual Veterans Job Fair at Overton Brooks VA Medical Center

SHREVEPORT, La. ( KTAL/KMSS) – A hospital in Shreveport is hosting a job fair specifically for veterans of the armed forces.

Veterans who are hunting for a new job should visit 2 West 62/63 at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, which will host the 2nd Annual Veterans Job Fair on Sept. 30 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Vendors looking to hire veterans will be on hand at the job fair, and the LA Workforce Mobile Unit will be parked in the front circle.

Officials at the OBVAMC suggest that veterans bring copies of their resumes because there is a chance for them to be hired on-site during the job fair.

The job fair will kick off National Compensated Work Therapy Week, a service that provides vocational rehab services to more than 50000 veterans every year.
