    ASU introduces monthly ‘Night at the Museum’ program

    SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage ) — A new program is coming to Angelo State University’s Mayer Museum this October, bringing a slew of activities for attendees to participate in during the nighttime hours.

    The program, titled “Night at the Museum,” will launch on Tuesday, Oct. 1, and occur on the first Tuesday of each month afterward. Each Night at the Museum event will last from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will be free and open to the public, with all ages welcome to attend.

    Several ASU academic departments and student organizations, as well as additional community partners, will introduce participants to what is happening both on and off campus through various demonstrations and activities. These demonstrations and activities include:

    • Virtual reality tours
    • Engineering challenges
    • STEAM art projects
    • Interactive Mayer Museum exhibits
    • ASU student presentations

    The program’s debut event on Oct. 1 will will feature activities led by students, faculty and staff from ASU’s biology, engineering, geoscience, and physics programs and student organizations, as well as STEAM art projects.

    Subsequent Night at the Museum events will be offered on Tuesdays, Nov. 5 and Dec. 3.
