Police chase ends in car collision

SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage ) — A car collision ended a police pursuit on Sept. 26, sending one person to the hospital.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Justin Baker, the collision happened during the afternoon. The pursuit started after an individual fled from a routine traffic stop on Loop 306. The individual took the Southwest Boulevard exit near Fire Stone Complete Auto Care and hit the bridge’s column while attempting to take the turnaround.

Baker was unable to provide additional information about the driver’s identity at this time. The driver was sent to the hospital for injuries sustained in the collision.

Baker stated that the individual is being charged with evading arrest and possibly other charges.
