SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage ) — The Junction Eagles will look to clean things up after their first loss of the season, and they should be well rested after an open date last week.

After opening the season with three straight wins, the Eagles were cooled off by Mason 35-12 two weeks ago. Junction is 3-1 on the season.

Junction played a strong first half against their longtime rival, trailing just 14-6 at the half. But the Punchers put things away with a pair of touchdowns in the third quarter for a commanding 28-6 advantage.

Eagles head coach Scott Freeman says his team learned a lot from the loss to Mason, and Junction will look to get back on track when the Eagles host Rocksprings in the District 14-2A Division II opener on Friday, Oct. 4.

Junction leads the all-time series with Rocksprings 21-9-5, but the Angoras won two close games in the previous two matchups in 2020 and 2021.
