McDonald’s to bring Chicken Big Mac to restaurants this month

HOUSTON ( KIAH ) — McDonald’s is putting a new twist on its popular favorite sandwich, as the Chicken Big Mac comes to restaurants.

The new sandwich, which is going to be available for a limited time, is similar to a regular Big Mac, the burger is a McDonald’s fan favorite for almost 50 years. But instead of two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles on a sesame-seed bun, it’s two tempura battered chicken patties instead of beef.

McDonald’s unveiled the Chicken Big Mac last weekend at a Los Angeles pop-up restaurant called McDonnell’s. This was at a LA restaurant called Chain, which is co-founded by actor B.J. Novak that recreate other items from chain restaurants. It was called on the menu, “The Chicken Sandwich.”

The Chicken Big Mac will come to McDonald’s restaurants across the U.S. beginning on Thursday, October 10.
