Services for Mexia senior football player announced

MEXIA, Texas ( FOX 44 ) – The Mexia Independent School District has announced some upcoming services to honor the memory of Micah Kirven.

Kirven was a former Mexia High School football player who passed away last week after suffering cardiac arrest. Additionally, A Final Horn Ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Mexia High School football stadium. Services for Micah will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Mexia High School Auditorium.

The district also announced that the Battle of the River pep rally set for Friday, October 11 has been canceled.
