Temple, TX ( FOX 44 ) — Repairs have been made to the fire suppression and alarm systems, ensuring they will operate effectively in case of an emergency.

According to The City of Temple, there are some outstanding code violations that need to be resolved. However, they do not pose an immediate risk that would require a red tag and closure of the building.

“There’s plumbing and electrical violations that are still ongoing. So those are not enough for us to keep the mall door closed. Those will be subject to citations,” says Communications and Public Relations Divisions Director, Nohely Mackowiak.

These existing code violations may still be subject to enforcement through citations.

The City of Temple stated, they will continue to monitor the situation closely.

If the suppression system or fire alarm fall into disrepair again the Temple Mall may be subject to red-tagging and closure.
