Angelo State University set to host Family Weekend

SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage ) — Angelo State University (ASU) is inviting relatives of all ASU’s students for a weekend of activities on Oct. 11 and 12.

According to a press release from ASU, on Oct. 11 there are four events and on Oct. 12 there are six events. Some key events are the Ram Jam tailgate party with a free concert, Rambelles soccer and volleyball teams and the Ram’s football game.

Friday, Oct. 11

• 3-5 p.m.: Gallery Talk with Guest Artist Yuni Lee – ASU Mayer Museum
• 5-7 p.m.: Dinner at The Caf – ASU’s renovated cafeteria
• 6 p.m.: Rambelles Volleyball vs. Texas A&M International – Junell Center/Stephens Arena
• 8 p.m.: University Theatre Presents “1984” – Carr EFA Building

Saturday, Oct. 12

• 9-10 a.m.: Breakfast with the President and First Lady – RSVP breakfast with ASU President Ronnie Hawkins Jr. and his wife, Maria, in the Houston Harte University Center
• 1p.m..: Rambelles Soccer vs. Oklahoma Christian – LeGrand Soccer Complex
• 2 p.m.: Rambelles Volleyball vs. Texas A&M-Kingsville – Junell Center/Stephens Arena
• 3-5 p.m.: Ram Jam – tailgate party with free food, games and a concert featuring country music artist Grace Tyler at the LeGrand Alumni and Visitors Center
• 6 p.m.: Rams Football vs. Texas A&M-Kingsville – LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit Union Field
• 8 p.m.: University Theatre Presents “1984” – Carr EFA Building
