Craig Slaughter, Wall Hawks prepare for district play

The Wall Hawks are currently 5-1 this season, carrying a four-game winning streak into District 4-3A Division II competition. Wall begins district play on the road vs Merkel on Friday, Oct. 11.

In week six, Wall defeated Idalou by a score of 33-10. The Hawks held a 27-10 halftime lead and held on for the commanding win despite the offense committing four second-half turnovers. Wall’s defense played a phenomenal second half, not allowing more than 10 yards on a single play.

The Hawks have shown resiliency all season. The team has produced notable double-digit comeback wins and also avoided second-half collapses. Through it all, Wall enters district play feeling confident and ready to pursue a district title.
