Waco, TX ( FOX 44 ) — This is the 9th Annual Silobration, celebrating almost a decade since Chip and Joanna bought the property in downtown and opened up the Silos.

“Guests are able to explore a lot of our free activations as well as our on property Magnolia entities, both food and retail. We’re excited to welcome people today and this weekend,” says Director of Brand Experience, Jordy Barksdale.

The annual event is a fair with local vendors and iconic Waco brands. Along with live music, day time activities and an evening with Chip and Joanna.

“We have concert tickets at night and we have general admission still available. Ben Rector is headlining Friday night and then Johnny Swim is headlining Saturday, and Chip and Joanna Gaines are both doing a game show Saturday night before Johnny Swim,” says Barksdale.

Silobration isn’t just for tourist, it’s also for locals. Locals like Raymond Rodriquez.

“This is my first actual celebration. This is my first one, and everything has really been good,” says Waco resident, Raymond Rodriquez.

Rodriquez was born and raised in Waco and remembers when Magnolia use to be nothing. He’s hoping for a good first experience.

“Just expect everybody to be cool, calm and collective. Meet new people. I’ll be meeting new people all around the world,” says Rodriquez.

Magnolia says it’s grateful to be part of the Waco community and playing the role in bringing people to visit and move here.
