SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage ) — Click the video above for the latest on the Miles Bulldogs and hear from head coach Jayson Wilhelm.

Miles officially begins play in District 7-2A Division II in week seven of the 2024 season. The Bulldogs are 4-1 coming off their bye week and used that time off to recover from turbulence.

Miles blew a 14-point lead in week five at Ozona, ultimately falling 34-28 for its first loss of the season. That week the Bulldogs were without starting running back Tevin Meade, who is still recovering from a leg injury.

Despite the obstacles, Coach Wilhelm’s mindset remains the same heading into district competition, simply through a weekly process.

“We talk about being 1-0 every week,” Wilhelm said.

The Bulldogs open district play on the road at Albany on Friday, Oct. 11.
