    ASU Chorale to host Festival of Choirs Concert

    SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage )—The Angelo State University Chorale will perform its first concert of the fall on Oct. 17.

    According to a press release from ASU, the Festival of Choirs concert will begin at 7 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 32 N. Irving St. Located downtown, the concert is free for the public to attend and will feature performances by Angelo Voices, Glee Club, Chamber Singers and more.

    The musical program will include:

    ASU Chorale

    • “Introit” from “Creation” by Dan Forrest

    ASU Chamber Singers

    • “Let My Love Be Heard” by Jake Runestad
    • “Wade in the Water” arranged by Stacey V. Gibbs

    ASU Glee Club

    • “Tshotsholoza” arranged by Jeffery L. Ames, featuring soloist Zach Douglas, with music student Allison Culwell and faculty Dr. Trent Shuey on percussion
    • “Nessun Dorma” from “Turandot” by Giacomo Puccini
    • “Go Down, Moses” arranged by Becki Slagle May and Dale Zarlenga
    • “Reconcile” by Kyle Pederson, featuring Shuey on percussion

    ASU Treble Chorus

    • “God Be In My Head” by Andrea Ramsey
    • “What Was I Made For?” from “Barbie” by Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell

    Angelo Voices

    • “Dance the Night” from “Barbie” by Dua Lipa, Andrew Wyatt, Mark Ronson and Caroline Ailin

    Directed by Dr. Eric Posada, ASU director of choral activities, the ASU Chorale features 49 students and includes members of four small ensembles.
