SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage ) The No. 6 Wall Hawks have won five straight games, but they’re expecting the Coahoma Bulldogs to put up a fight Friday night at Clayton Weishuhn Field.

Wall is 6-1 overall and 1-0 in district. The Hawks dominated Merkel 48-7 in the District 4-3A opener on the road last week.

Coahoma is 4-2 and 0-1. The Bulldogs are coming off a 34-20 loss on the road against Grape Creek.

The Hawks lead the all-time series with the Bulldogs 11-8-1. They haven’t met since 2009.

We caught up with Wall head coach Craig Slaughter on Wednesday to get his thoughts on things.
