Trinity Lutheran Church and School set to host Oktoberfest

SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage )— On Oct. 19, Trinity Lutheran Church and School will host Oktoberfest.

According to Janice Teeter, Trinity Lutheran School PTL president, Oktoberfest will be held at 3536 Lutheran Way on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

“This year, we’re offering Oktoberfest-themed activities, including games, hayrides, pumpkin decorating and an authentic homemade German meal. Tickets for food and activity bands for the kids’ games can be purchased at the front/info desk,” said Teeter.

There will be a magic show at 5:30 p.m. for all ages. Iron Clad, a medieval armored combat organization, will perform a mixed martial arts show from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

There will also be a silent auction where people can bid on items such as various themed baskets, which include popular themes like a spaghetti dinner basket, a Lego basket, a chocolate and coffee basket and a movie and game night basket.

“Our church and school members will be manning the food booths. They’ll be serving up delicious options like hot cocoa, cider, and pretzels. Plus, we’re featuring a homemade German meal, which I’m sure will be a highlight of the event,” said Teeter.

Teeter also said that local craft vendors in the area will be there to sell their homemade goods.
