Local man undergoing cancer treatment given $300 through Pay It Forward

SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage ) — A local man has been selected to receive $300 from KLST’s Pay it Forward campaign, sponsored by Carpet Tech.

KLST Assistant News Director Senora Scott spoke with Carla Lands, a dental hygienist, about who she thinks should be nominated. She nominated her great nephew Konnor Barnes for inspiring their family.

21-year-old Barnes has been recently diagnosed with Sarcoma and is going through treatment. She describes him as a great guy, very positive and inspirational.

“My faith, first of all, and just all my friends and family around me. I mean all the support I got it showed me who all loves me and I just stay strong so they can stay strong,” said Barnes when asked how he stays positive.
