SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage ) — Click the video above for an update on the Ozona Bulldogs and hear from head coach Jarryd Taylor.

The Lions are hungry for revenge. After losing 44-28 to Reagan County to open district play in 2024, Ozona has a chance to redeem itself at home, hosting its longtime rival, Sonora.

Unfortunately for Ozona, the team will play without star running back Christian Villareal, who suffered a high ankle sprain last week. Head coach Jarryd Taylor hopes his playmaker can return soon, but it may take a few weeks.

Defensive execution mistakes were a common recurrence in the loss, according to Taylor.

The Lions host the Broncos on Friday, Oct. 18 to continue play in District 3-2A Division I.
