    City announces Glenna Street lane reduction

    SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage ) — The City of San Angelo has announced that another section of Glenna Street will temporarily have its lanes reduced, the latest in a series of road work developments that have swept through the street this month.

    According to the City , Glenna Street from Webster Street to Mercedes Avenue will be reduced from four lanes to two beginning on Oct. 21. The reduction is expected to last until “late October 2024.”

    The City stated that “two-way traffic with one lane each direction will be maintained during closure.” Additionally, it said that “businesses within these road closures are open and access to them is being maintained.”

    The 3200 block of Woodlawn Avenue will also be reopened after being closed for four days . The 3400 block of Webster Street will be closed, however, and no through traffic will be allowed.

    The announcement comes just four days after the City stated that Glenna Street from Woodlawn Drive to Webster Street would be reduced from four lanes to two until “late October 2024.” Before that, the City announced on Oct. 4 that Glenna Street from Houston Harte Frontage Road N to Webster Street would likewise be reduced until “late-December 2024.”
