Lone Star Lineup: Texas vs. Georgia preview

TEXAS (KMID/KPEJ)- The #1 Texas Longhorns (6-0) will face their biggest challenge of the season as they welcome the #5 Georgia Bulldogs (5-1) to Austin tomorrow.

These two teams last met in the 2019 Sugar Bowl, where former Longhorns head coach Tom Herman led Texas to their first Sugar Bowl win since 1947.

A lot has changed for these two teams since their last meeting, as Georgia won back-to-back national titles in 2021 and 2022. Meanwhile, the Longhorns fired Tom Herman in 2020 and brought in Steve Sarkisian. Sarkisian led the Longhorns last season to their first Big 12 conference title in 15 years. As well as their first ever college football playoff appearance.
