Midland police respond to a drive-by shooting

MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – On Oct. 19, 2024, at 11:33 p.m., Midland Police responded to a shots fired call in the 100 block of Howard Drive in southwest Midland.

At the scene, officers found a 22-year-old woman from Midland in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle deceased from gunshot wounds.

“Evidence at the scene and from witness statements indicate that a drive-by shooting had occurred,” MPD reported. “The actor(s) involved are unidentified at this time, and next of kin has not yet been notified.”

The investigation continues, police said.
