    COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A press conference and protest was held at the University of Missouri’s campus on Wednesday by employees after the school’s State of the University address .

Workers held signs calling out recent changes to paid time off, which they say eliminates sick leave and holiday time and is tracked in just one category. Employees say the changes result in a 10% decrease in PTO.

Workers also stated its union requested a 3% increase to the standard minimum wage, but it was blocked.

One person who spoke at the press conference, who is a member of LiUNA Local 955, also claimed a policy on late arrivals has changed to a no-fault policy.
