    COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Prosecutors have charged a former Morgan County deputy with two felonies for an incident that happened before the crash that led to his arrest last month.

Tres T. Powers is charged in Miller County with leaving the scene of a crash and first-degree property damage for allegedly crashing into a fleet truck on private property Sept. 19. The location is redacted in a probable cause statement.

Powers was arrested later that same night after he crashed in Morgan County . A Missouri State Highway Patrol report says he was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving. He was released for medical treatment.

A Lake Ozark police officer identified a car seen in the fleet parking lot on surveillance video as Powers' after his arrest in Morgan County, according to the probable cause statement. The damage to the fleet truck was estimated at more than $9,000.

A Morgan County Sheriff's Office spokesman said last month that the department fired Powers and he is not eligible to be rehired.

A warrant has been issued for Powers' arrest, according to online court records.
