HEAD-ON COLLISION CLAIMS LIFE OF BUNCETON MAN

A two-vehicle collision outside Bunceton on Saturday afternoon killed one driver and injured another.

The accident occurred around 6 p.m. on Old Concord Road about a mile northeast of Bunceton. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 70-year-old James O’Neal and 25-year-old Drew Davis were driving on the roadway toward each other, colliding in the center of the roadway. The two pickups came to rest on the roadway and caught fire. O’Neal was pronounced dead at the scene, while troopers say that Davis refused treatment of his moderate injuries.
