Stephanie Gooden is on track to serve another four years as Saline County’s Northern District Commissioner, following her victory in the Republican primary of Tuesday’s election.

Gooden picked up 45.2 percent of the vote in the district’s ten precincts, winning the nod with 601 votes to Otis Arndt’s 492 and Charlie Eades’ 236. Gooden thanked her voters for their continued support.

Much of Gooden’s last term has been spent encouraging development of the Marshall Junction. She says she hopes to pursue more development throughout the county over the next four years.

Gooden does not have a Democratic opponent on the Nov. 5th general election ballot.

The commission’s lineup is expected to remain as-is, as Southern District Commissioner Monte Fenner had no opposition in the Democratic primary Tuesday, and will not face a Republican opponent in November.
