    CITY COUNCIL ACCEPTS GRANT AWARD FOR SIDEWALK PROJECT

    The Moberly City Council accepted a TAP grant award from the Missouri Department of Transportation to use for a sidewalk project.

    The grant award will be used to complete Phase 2 of a sidewalk project on Morley Street. City Administrator Michael Bugalski said he expects the project to take place next year.

    In other news, the council approved a request to hold A Colt’s Cure 5K on September 7, 2024. The race will travel through part of the park and city and will have about 100 racers participating.

    Also, the council approved three appointments to the Planning and Zoning Commission. Lorna Miles was reappointed to the board, while Jane Loeber and Jerry Swartz are new members that were appointed.
