Glasgow Schools will keep their tax rate level for the upcoming school year.

At Wednesday night’s school board meeting, Glasgow’s board of education maintained the tax rate at $4.7745 per $100 of assessed valuation. The board also approved the budget for the coming school year, which begins August 20th. Tuition was also set at $11,500 for the year.

Also Wednesday night, Glasgow Schools accepted bids from Daryl Hord for the metal lathe and mill machine, and approved a dual credit agreement with Moberly Area Community College.

As for personnel, the board approved the substitute teacher list for the year and hired Justin Payton as a paraprofessional. The board accepted the resignations of Julie Strodtman and Spencer Gerald from their roles as paraprofessionals.

The Glasgow Schools board of education next meets Sept. 18th.
