Just hours before Usher’s Past Present Future Tour was scheduled to kick off in Atlanta on Wednesday, the singer postponed the show to “rest and heal.”

“For my 30-plus year career, 100% of my blood, sweat and tears has gone into putting on the best performance and creating a memorable experience for my fans,” Usher wrote in the announcement on Instagram.

“I have every intention of doing that for this tour as well which is why I have to postpone tonight’s show and reschedule it for a later date to give my body a second to rest and heal. You’re still going to get a bit of the past, some of the present and a unique look into the future on the rescheduled date but you’ll also be getting 100% of me,” he wrote.

“The last thing I want to ever do is disappoint you, the fans who have been eagerly waiting for this tour to start. However, I wouldn’t be the entertainer that I am if I can’t physically give you my best,” he wrote.

The “Good Good” singer said details about the rescheduled date would be coming “soon.” He is still scheduled to perform shows in Atlanta on Friday and Saturday.

The Past Present Future tour is Usher’s first headlining tour since 2014, and will cover the R&B legend’s long career, with classic jams alongside newer hits. Despite not touring in a decade, Usher had a successful Las Vegas residency that wrapped in December 2023, and followed it up with a Super Bowl halftime show in February.

The tour, which is already sold out in numerous cities, will run through May 7, 2025, wrapping at the O2 Arena in London.
