Kim Jong-Un Executes 30 of his Cronies — for not Stopping Apocalyptic Floods

North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un has reportedly carried out the execution of 30 of his high-ranking officials—for the crime of not being able to stop the devastating floods that recently broke out in the country.

Knewz.com has learned that the floods have left an estimated 4,000 people dead, and have destroyed parts of the Chagang Province in North Korea .

In the aftermath of the floods , a North Korean official issued a statement saying that the Kim Jong-un regime is in the process of identifying those responsible for the “unacceptable casualties” caused by the natural disaster and passing severe judgment upon them.

“It has been determined that 20 to 30 key party individuals in the flood-stricken area were executed at the same time late last month,” the North Korean official stated.

“Circumstances involving the dismissed Chagang Province Party Secretary Kang Bong-hoon have been captured and are being confirmed.”

It was reported that the floods were the result of reportedly record-breaking rainfall on July 27 as the nation was hit by Tropical Storm Gaemi.

In addition to the 4,000 dead, around 5,000 residents have been isolated as a result of the floods and accompanying landslides.

According to the North Korean state media outlet KCNA , around 15,400 affected individuals have been relocated to facilities built in Pyongyang.

These numbers include “mothers, children, older adults, and disabled soldiers,” according to reports.

North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un has declared parts of three provinces as “special disaster emergency zones” and announced that it would take at least two to three months to rebuild the affected areas.

Back in August, state media KCNA claimed that the floods destroyed 4,100 homes in the Sinuiju and Uiju counties of North Pyongan Province, while not specifying the number of casualties in the natural disaster.

The South Korean television network TV Chosun, however, offered a rough estimate as it reported at the time that as many as 1,500 people were dead or missing as a result of the floods.

However, Kim Jong-un had rubbished the estimates, claiming they were rumors created by South Korea as a “smear campaign to bring disgrace upon us and tarnish us.”

Knewz.com wrote at the time that the North Korean dictator had enlisted the help of young citizens and mobilized the military to help with the recovery and restoration process of the affected areas.

It was also reported that the worst damage has been suffered by Songgan County in central Chagang province.

The satellite images shared by Planet Labs showed that the entire village of Kwangmyong-ri was washed away by the surging currents of the Yalu, or Amnok, River, with a 330-foot path of destruction left in its wake.

It has been reported that the wiped-out Kwangmyong-ri village contained 160 residences, a school, several public buildings, and civilian infrastructure such as roads, railroad tracks, and bridges.

The village reportedly also contained a military base. Several key munitions factories in the country were wiped out by the floods as well.

It is worth noting that, at a time of national crisis, Kim Jong-un’s territory had been offered help from across the Southern border.

The Red Cross of South Korea stated that the neighboring nation was willing to provide relief supplies for the damages caused in the North as a result of Tropical Storm Gaemi.

A statement issued by the South Korean Unification Ministry, which handles inter-Korean affairs, stated that authorities of the Yoon Suk Yeol administration were ready to “discuss the relief supplies needed, the scale of aid and how to transfer it,” according to reports .

However, the news outlet NK Pro reported that the Kim Jong-un administration refused international help during this time of crisis.
