Fishermen Found Random Sea Container Floating at Sea and Was Left Stunned After Opening It

A group of fishermen off the coast of France made an incredible discovery when they came across a steel container floating in the ocean. A video filmed in 2021 went viral, showing the crew pulling the container towards their boat and opening it to see what was inside. Every fisherman or sailor had dreamed of finding a random box filled with gold and treasures, but this discovery seemed unreal.

When they opened the container, they found iPhones falling into the water and were excited about their find. As the video surfaced online, viewers were astonished, especially since the boxes were labeled as tobacco. However, they were filled with numerous iPhones, reported WORLD OF BUZZ . One person commented, "How are you all seeing phones? They are cartons of cigarettes it says tobacco on the box." Another opined, "It is not iPhone, when they open the container you can read on the box that this is tobacco."

With the story getting views, another story from 30 years earlier resurfaced, showing that rare discoveries could sometimes be a stroke of luck. This story dates back to 1989 when a contractor from Long Island bought a mysterious storage container filled with surprises. Knewz.com noted that the man and his brother had paid less than $100 for the container. Later, when they opened it, they found a large object hidden under blankets. What they uncovered shocked them—a white sports car without wheels and with a dented roof.

The discovery didn't end here. They later learned that the car named 'Wet Nellie' had been worth over $100,000 back in the 1970s. Additionally, it was the famous prop used in the 1997 James Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me , starring Roger Moore and Barbara Bach. Doug Redenius, co-founder of the Ian Fleming Foundation shared with NBC News per LADbible , "They didn’t know what it was at first. They had no idea how valuable their discovery was." He also confirmed that this was one of the famous Bond cars, with eight similar ones used in the series.

The car was built by Perry Oceanographic, a company specializing in underwater technology. In the movie, it was shown as a modified Lotus Esprit sports car that folded its wheels underwater and turned into a sleek submarine. And that's how James Bond escaped his enemies showcasing different versions as a car and a submarine.

In September 2013, Elon Musk bought the famous car for nearly $1 million at a London auction. He made the hefty purchase with the hope of turning it into a real working car that could operate both on land and in water. However, there haven’t been any further announcements or rumors about Musk or his team working on this long-anticipated project.
