An unlicensed breeder from Edinburgh, Scotland , has created a new breed of “ Frankenstein ” dogs by combining French Bulldogs with Dalmatians.

Knewz.com has learned that Gary Hemming, the 41-year-old breeder, created the animals to satisfy the growing demand for “designer dogs . “

The unlicensed breeder with no veterinary qualifications claimed that he wanted to bring about a huge “wave” of designer dogs to the pet market, it has been reported.

He shared pictures of the spotted puppy – the result of his latest breeding experiment – on social media , claiming that “Mr. Pokadot,” the pup, is the future of the new breed.

The reportedly unethical breeder called Mr Pokadot “the first and only velvet bigrope pokadot in the world.”

“This boy is the future to pokadot Frenchies. He was born with a natural no tail,” Hemming described the new “designer dog.”

“Yes, we used a Dalmatian to make him many generations ago, this program we have been working on for many years… And only now bringing it to the market,” he added.

“Always remember he comes from a Dalmatian bloodline. We have used our best females to correct this line and achieve what we have today. We have put so much time and money into this program.”

“The most iconic coat pattern ever to be worn on a dog is now on a French bulldog ,” he further stated.

Hemming said in another post on Instagram, “All the hard work has been done to perfect and correct the programs. We have corrected it all. – No muzzle, no tail, short legs, short back, smashed face.”

“We have the only Dalmatian bloodline in the world… 2025 is the year of the Pokadot Frenchie in all colors and patterns, including the new shades – lemonshade and orangeshade,” he added.

“We are in no rush with the program and plan to perfect it,” the breeder further said.

He intends to breed more “designer dogs” by crossing French Bulldogs and Dalmatians and sell them across the world, according to reports.

However, experts say that irresponsible breeding practices – like Hemming’s designer dog business – can result in dogs doomed to live “short lives beset by illness .”

Dr. Elizabeth Mullineaux, the President of the British Veterinary Association, expressed her concerns over unlicensed and reckless breeders like Hemming.

    She said in a statement:

“Vets across the UK are extremely concerned about a number of unscrupulous breeders ignoring the health and welfare of animals by cashing in on the huge demand for ‘fashionable’ puppy breeds that have been bred to have extreme features like excessive skin wrinkles or flat faces.”

The Scottish government announced in August 2024 that it would crack down on “unlicensed and unregulated dog breeders.” BY: MEGA

“These animals may look ‘cute’ or unique, but they often experience significant health problems and a lifetime of suffering,” Dr. Mullineaux further said.

“Such irresponsible breeding has been linked to unregulated dog breeding services like canine fertility clinics, which have been popping up across the country,” she added.

It has been reported that Hemming and his allegedly unethical dog breeding practices were exposed once before, in a BBC investigation that showcased his genetically damaged Frankenstein pups. He was featured in a documentary by BBC Scotland Disclosure, where he told an undercover reporter that the dogs he has bred have been sold for up to $250,000.

Due to the growth of unethical dog breeders like Hemming, the government of Scotland announced in August 2024 that it would crack down on “unlicensed and unregulated dog breeders.”

“New laws are being drafted that will force any businesses offering dog fertility services to get an annual license and be subject to regular inspections. The announcement follows recommendations published by the British Veterinary Association, which called for greater enforcement of law breaches,” it has been reported .
