Dog trapped in hot car honks horn to get the police's attention, now adopted
INDIANAPOLIS (WKRC) - A brilliant German Shepherd made his own luck when he notified police that he was stuck in a hot car by repeatedly honking the horn. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) responded to a call of a dog left in a hot car. The officers and bystanders knew the dog was trapped and uncomfortable because he was consistently honking the horn of the car. Officers said the vehicle was "in 90 degree heat with no air conditioning and windows barely cracked."

Three FAST swimmers win at Open Water State Championship
Several Hamilton County swimmers competed in the 2024 Open Water State Championship, which took place June 25 at Geist Waterfront Park in Fishers. There were three winners from Fishers Area Swimming Tigers (FAST). Liam Chop won the Boys 11-12 division, Lexi Adams was first in the Girls 13-14 category and AJ Adams won the Boys 15 and over division.
