Tennessee football climbed three spots in the US LBM Coaches Poll to No. 12 and one spot to No. 14 in the AP Top 25 after beating Chattanooga 69-3 to open the 2024 season.

The Vols had been ranked No. 15 in both preseason polls. But the combination of their lopsided win and top-15 teams losing improved their ranking.

Tennessee (1-0) plays NC State (1-0) on Saturday (7:30 p.m. ET, ABC) at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
