A one-of-a-kind RAGBRAI quilt on display Wednesday as riders on RAGBRAI LI pass through Knoxville. It could be yours, but you'll have to win it first.

How can I win the RAGBRAI quilt?

The quilt was originally donated to Melcher-Dallas Community Enrichment. The group is now using it for a fundraiser to support the community.

You can make a donation online or send in a free mailer to Melcher-Dallas Community Enrichment for a chance to win the one-of-a-kind quilt. You can also stop by Hometown Meats & Deli in Knoxville in person on Wednesday and enter the raffle.

A winner will be drawn at 5 p.m. Aug. 3, but you only have until 5 p.m. July 27 at 5 p.m. to enter.

Who made the RAGBRAI quilt? Where are the donations going?

Cleta Noftsger is the designer and creator of the RAGBRAI quilt being raffled off by Melcher-Dallas Community Enrichment. The quilt is made up of 30 official RAGBRAI T-shirts and measures 72 inches by 85 inches.

Noftsger "has been excellent for our group," said Jonith VanWardhuizen, a member of the organization. She's "helping us to raise money for a lot of things we would like to do for our community."

Two friends helped Noftsger construct the quilt and she all the T-shirts from her niece, VanWardhuizen said.

The money raised by donations for the drawing will go towards Melcher-Dallas Community Enrichment's plans of livening up their community. That could include welcome baskets for new community members or Friday night food trucks.

"We've done scholarships through the school, we do a festival, which we're getting ready to work on next," VanWardhuizen said. "Just, you know, if something happens, there's funding needed, we help with that."
