Wednesday on 92.9 FM ESPN's Gabe Kuhn Show, Gabe Kuhn and Geoff Calkins reviewed the University of Tennessee vs. the NCAA case and developments. (AUDIO)

Earlier this week the NCAA alleged that the University of Tennessee broke NCAA rules involving NIL (Name/Image/Likeness) regulations for athletes. Many 92.9 FM ESPN hosts, and most of the general public, realized that it's nearly impossible to parse rules once you open up the opportunity for college student athletes to profit off their own name/image/likenesses. Indeed inducement rulings against colleges becomes even more mirky for the NCAA. The NCAA continues, by many accounts, to rule using archaic ideas and mixed message rules.

In this case the State of Tennessee/University of Tennessee and Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti decided to fight back filing their own suit against the NCAA over their NIL-recruiting ban.

Geoff Calkins told Gabe Kuhn Wednesday, "Not everybody roots for Tennessee, but I would even think those that don't root for Tennessee would be thinking that the Vols would be on the side of what is right and good in this particular instance."
