Road work impacting East Tennessee this weekend: What to know

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Several road work projects are underway around East Tennessee, here’s what drivers need to keep an eye out for.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation shared that crews started milling/paving on the bridge over Nora Road for the I-640 Reconstruction Project. This project has faced several delays since beginning in July 2022 . Its current completion date is set for August 2024.

TDOT has released its weekly construction report for June 14 through June 19 to share any ongoing or upcoming construction projects across the 24 East Tennessee counties.
