    VFL Chase Dollander to compete in All-Star Futures Game

    KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Chase Dollander was selected to play in the All-Star Futures Game on July 13 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.

    In his first year in minor league baseball, Dollander has a 3.05 ERA with 92 strikeouts in 62 innings pitched. The VFL is currently in High-A playing for the Spokane Indians.

    Cooper Mays, James Pearce named Preseason All-Americans

    The right-hander started his collegiate career at Georgia Southern before transferring to Tennessee. He played two years for the Vols.

    Dollander’s sophomore year was electric. He finished with a 10-0 record and 2.39 ERA. He was tabbed SEC Pitcher of the Year and a unanimous First Team All-American in 2022.

    During his junior season, the Vols made it to the College World Series after upsetting Clemson in the regional and then taking down Southern Mississippi in the super regional.
