One of the best Tennessee Vols baseball players to ever wear the orange and white sent a heartfelt message/goodbye to his coaches, teammates, and UT fans on Friday.

Vols infielder Christian Moore wrapped up his third season on Rocky Top last month in the best way imaginable -- by bringing a national championship to Knoxville.

Moore, who is from New York, set the tone for the Volunteers throughout the 2024 season, slashing .375/.451/.797 while hitting 34 home runs and driving in 74 runs.

The dynamic infielder has another year of eligibility remaining. But Moore is expected to be selected in the first half of the 2024 MLB Draft later this month, which means his career at Tennessee came to an end last month in Omaha.

"I don’t really know where to begin," wrote Moore in a social media post on Instagram on Friday. "These last 3 years have changed my life. Thank you to this amazing coaching staff for believing in me, taking a chance on a kid that should have never been in this situation. Trusting me to lead a team and allowing me to be me. I will forever be grateful for all the long talks, countless hours of work and most important the memories shared!"

"To my teammates… y’all have seen me grow up a lot these last few years. Thank you all for taking me under your wing, allowing me to grow up and mature. Without you all, I am not the player I am today. Always remember Chuck T “Hang out type” . Love y’all boys, thank you for all the memories and moments it will heavily be missed."

"Vol nation, you guys are unbelievable. Talking for the rest of the team, you guys were the heartbeat of this thing. Thank you for always being there for us, cheering us on through the good and bad. We are forever thankful for you all and I will miss you guys! GB🍊 Forever!"

There's no doubt that Moore will continue to rep the orange and white as often as he can as his baseball career prepares to take the next step.
