    Three teens charged as Knoxville Police investigate Kia break-in at apartment complex

    KNOXVILLE, Tenn. ( WATE ) — The Knoxville Police Department said Wednesday morning that its officers had apprehended and charged three teenagers accused of breaking into a Kia sedan at an apartment complex in the early morning hours.

    KPD said at around 2:55 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to the 3100 block of North Broadway and saw three people who had allegedly broken into a white Kia sedan. They ran from officers as they arrived at the scene.

    Shortly after, all three teenagers, ages 14, 16 and 18, were located, arrested and charged.

    “We are grateful to our officers for their daily efforts to make our community safer,” KPD stated in its post about the incident.
